•PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Jason is around 6’2 and about 200ish lbs of solid muscle, built like a linebacker from a hell dimension, with dark, perma-messy hair and blue eyes. If you happen to find yourself in a situation to see Jason with his shirt off, he has quite a few battle scars all over his body. It’s hard being a vigilante! When he’s not wearing his Red Hood getup - most of which is completely busted - Jason favors plain, fitting street clothes in dark colors, usually paired with something red (shirt, hoodie, etc.).
•DEMEANOR: Jason is, in a word, wary of others. He’s not exactly paranoid, but he doesn’t trust easily, either - he has been burned by some pretty significant people in his life (most notably Bruce Wayne, his surrogate father figure and mentor) and it has left him with some deep pain that he is currently Not Dealing With. He projects a certain base level of affability, mostly through dry wit and sarcasm, and he knows how to carry an amicable conversation, but he'll only let people in so far, and he’s a lot like a feral cat - his mood can shift on a moment’s notice. Jason also does not respond well to authority types, and he will have a sassy comeback for just about anything anyone says to him.
•ABILITIES: Despite being a DC Comics character, Jason doesn’t possess any superpowers, per se, though he does have quite a few entirely human talents. He has an impressive physical presence, having been trained - and trained well - in hand-to-hand combat, martial arts, and acrobatics, by masters such as Batman, members of the League of Assassins like Lady Shiva, and the ancient group of mystic warriors known as the All-Caste. He is also a skilled marksman with firearms and proficient in wielding a number of other weapons, such as swords, knives, throwing stars, and explosives, and he is able to summon the All-Blades, a pair of short swords powered by his soul that only work against magic.
Jason may not possess a genius-level intellect, but he’s no dummy - he’s been trained in the investigative arts by none other than the world’s (well - this world’s) greatest detective, Bruce Wayne, aka the goddamn Batman, and although he never finished high school, Jason claims he’d done enough work under Batman’s tutelage to earn doctorates in criminology. Jason is quick-thinking under pressure, resourceful, and a skilled strategist; he’s smarter than most people – himself included – give him credit for. He’s also been trained by Batman in escapology and stealth, and learned how to steal and con from his father.
•MEDICAL INFORMATION: Jason is generally in peak physical condition, in spite of the fact that he was seriously murdered to death and resurrected through a comic book magic fountain of youth known as the Lazarus Pit. He's very likely to get in fights and end up bruised, stitched up, and/or with busted ribs. Mentally, though … the boy has some trauma to work through, a lot of which stems from his murder and subsequent resurrection, feelings of betrayal/abandonment, various and sundry self-esteem and self-worth issues, etc.
•OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS: Batman/Bruce Wayne will be an EXTREMELY sore spot for Jason, at least for a while. Outside of that, Jason doesn’t tolerate those who exploit vulnerable populations like women and children. Sexual violence and predatory behavior is also a big, big hot button no for him.

Jason hasn't traditionally had a lot of positive physical contact with people, so he will find this weird, but he won’t respond violently unless it strays into, like, unwanted groping-below-the-belt territory. Hugging/kissing/etc will go better if it’s from someone he knows, and I’d appreciate a heads up if this is the sort of thing you’d like to play! For general reference, I play Jason as being a huge bisexual disaster with very limited prior romantic experiences, of which 100% have been with women. However, I don't really see him as the type to turn a guy down just because he's a guy - Jason fundamentally wants to be wanted, and I see him as not really caring who that comes from.

Jason comes with A TON of content warnings for violence, blood, murder, and death, his mother's historical drug use, and childhood domestic abuse, because his father is a real fucking piece of work. In addition, he has some lingering unresolved feelings about being brought back from death, and while he’s not actively suicidal, some of his words and actions seem to indicate that he would be fine with no longer being alive. I’ll do my best to use subject line warnings if any of these things come up in tags, but if you would like me to steer entirely clear of particular subjects or tagging your character entirely, please leave me a screened comment below and I will make it happen.
